BEET Up Body Fat

 A superfood concoction to accelerate fat loss

WHAT’S IN IT:
1-ounce apple cider vinegar
3-4 ounces sparkling water – I use Pellegrino
1 fresh squeezed lemon
1 scoop Green tea/Beetroot/MCT’s Fiber by BPI Sports

WHEN DO YOU TAKE IT:
Every morning on an empty stomach

I loved how healthy I felt during pregnancy. I was ON POINT with my food. I was consuming a great variety of good healthy foods aside from the occasional indulgences I would help my self to due to crazy prego cravings. I was also taking prenatal vitamins every single day and that’s HUGE for me because I do not like taking pills. I believe it was a combination of the great food I was putting in my body, exercise, as well as the vitamins and those good ole pregnancy hormones. I missed that “GLOW” that so many people complimented me on. Now I know men can’t experience this BUT bare with me boys and keep reading because you can sure benefit from what I am getting to.

I’m not pregnant anymore so I’m no longer taking prenatal and the variety in my food isn’t as big because, well I have a different goal now and that is to lose weight and get back in shape. I want some abs! Summer is coming!

I decided to do some research and find ingredients that would promote overall health, aid in weight-loss, help with my skin and provide some energy. I wanted to create something that I didn’t have to shove down my throat but still gave me a lot of the same benefits I was looking for.

That is how my “superfood concoction” came about and no, I don’t have a better name for it because I’m just not that creative. It’s okay, I’m creative enough to come up with this tasty drink which has become a part of my morning routine and that’s good enough for me. I am loving the results. It is something I look forward to drinking every morning.

Check out what this powerful little drink consists of and the many ways it can benefit you. This blog will focus on the benefits of the first ingredient, which is Beet Root. I will do a series of blogs one each week focusing on each separate ingredient.

Beetroot/juice has become extremely popular over the past several years being coined a super food...but why?


Well, the benefits of beets are endless. For starters, beets are rich in nitrates (why is that important)? Nitrates are converted to nitric oxide in your body which will help widen blood vessels to increase blood flow (great for the gym) increase stamina and possibly controlling blood pressure.


How is beetroot beneficial for weight loss?
Beetroot is rich in insoluble fiber, which is great for gut health and boosting metabolism.


Eating insoluble fiber will help fill you up but since your body cannot digest it...you don’t actually absorb the calories.


Beets are unique in color but the beautiful dark purple appearance isn’t just for good looks - Beets contain Betacyanin (making them purple). Betacyanin is a powerful antioxidant that will help lower cholesterol and remove nasty toxins from your bloodstream. Yum!

There you have it boys and a girls-a brief synopsis of how beneficial beets are for your health.

    This is awesome! Im a new mom to be, 27 weeks in. Before getting pregnant I would be in the gym all the time, juice etc
    This month I have DEFF slacked off, havent worked out, havent been eatting that well (not consuming enough veggies etc) I do drink a gallon of water a day. Reading your blog is deff making me want to get back on track…not just for myself but for my little boy. Thank you for sharing!!! xox
